Job Title: Security Officer
Reporting to: Security Manager & Supervisor
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off roster pattern, 12-hour shifts covering
days, nights, and weekends. Avg 42hrs per week.
Shift pattern: 2 days 2 nights 4 off (07:00 – 19:00)

OBJECTIVE
To work as a member of the security team for the protection of persons and
property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment. Working
within this high-profile environment your primary role is to ensure the security
of people, premises, and property, protecting the reputation of the
client/tenants throughout.
 

DUTIES

• The maintenance of good order in all UniTrust sites including protection
• against violent acts, abuse and accident.
• The protection of a client’s property against loss, theft, damage
• (including fire and water) and waste.
• The protection of private property belonging to the client, their staff and
• visitors against loss, theft and damage.
• Prevent offences against the law of the land, UniTrust disciplinary
• codes and policies and ensure all are brought to the attention of the
• management.
• Use X- Ray machines to carry out airport type of security searches, at
• any of the three entrances.Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are
• clear.Maintain vigilance on the public within sight of all areas for damage,
• theft etc. and deal effectively with offenders
• Internal and external patrolling
• Monitoring and responding to CCTV and intruder alarms
• Liaising with the client’s staff for out of hours service calls
• General security duties as required.
