Complex Care Support Worker

A Complex Care Worker provides high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex health and physical care needs in their own homes.

The role involves supporting a young person with a Brain Injury from birth resulting in Global Developmental Delay.

We have both Full time and part time positions available.

Shifts are from 3.30pm -9pm on weekdays and support on alternate Saturdays between 10am-6pm. During all school holiday periods the shifts are 10am-6pm

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care while promoting dignity and independence.
• Requires a high level of supervision due to having limited awareness of safety issues.
• Observe and report changes in an individual’s physical, emotional, or mental wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, incident reports, and daily documentation ensuring safeguarding procedures are following and reporting any concerns or changes appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Work flexibly, including days, evenings and weekends

Our Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 1 years’ experience supporting individuals with complex care needs in a home care, community, or residential setting.
• Experience of supporting with Children and Young People
• Brain Injury knowledge
• Strong understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, dignity, and promoting independence.
• Confident in delivering personal care and following detailed care plans
• Excellent communication, observation, and teamwork skills with the ability to respond calmly in challenging situations.
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Must drive and have business insurance.
