If so, St Giles is looking for a SOS+ Mentor and Facilitator to provide one-to-one mentoring and group work sessions for children and young people at risk of serious youth violence, gang activity and exploitation

About this key role
Our successful candidate will be expected to establish positive and professional relationships with the children, young people, parents/carers and professionals accessing the service and to promote the value of lifestyle changes to those accessing the service. You will facilitate group sessions and interactive workshops to children and young people on all aspects of gang involvement, violence and exploitation, plus deliver vital one-to-one mentoring sessions that tackle mentees perceptions of gang involvement, violence and exploitation. These will encourage them to develop a positive self-identity, healthy relationships, to feel safe and to raise their aspirations.
We will also count on you to maintain accurate records of your mentoring work, session work and data collection and to contribute in multi-agency meetings, utilising expertise around lived experience and local knowledge. Complying with relevant safeguarding policies of the provision(s) and St Giles Trust. Ensuring that all systems are in place to protect the confidentiality of clients who use the service, and appropriate disclosure procedures are followed
