Are you someone who helps young people feel understood, included and ready to learn? We’re looking for a calm, patient and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our Student Support team at Bishop Burton College.
You may currently be working as a teaching assistant, learning support assistant or youth worker in a school, college or community setting. Perhaps you’ve supported young people through voluntary work and are ready to build a career in education. What matters is your ability to build positive relationships, respond thoughtfully to challenging situations and help students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities take part in college life.
In this role, you’ll work alongside teaching staff to support students in lessons, both one-to-one and in groups. You’ll also help them move between classes, access resources and feel supported during breaks and lunchtimes. Every day brings opportunities to make a practical difference, whether you’re helping a student engage with a task or giving them the reassurance they need to grow in confidence.
At Bishop Burton College, you’ll be part of a Student Support team that works closely with curriculum staff to help learners achieve their potential, academically and personally. If you want to make college a welcoming place where every student has the chance to thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
