Estates leadership opportunity overseeing major capital investment and estate development projects that will shape the future of a prestigious school campus.

At Wellington College, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Major Projects Manager to join our Estates Department. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, our 400 acre estate provides a distinctive and inspiring place to work. As a dynamic, ambitious and values-led community, Wellington is committed to providing exceptional facilities for pupils, staff and visitors, supported by a significant programme of estate investment and development.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in delivering a diverse portfolio of capital projects across one of the country's most distinctive educational estates. The role encompasses major new-build, refurbishment and sustainability-focused developments that support the College’s long-term strategic ambitions. You will manage complex project programmes, procurement activities, budgets, risks and stakeholder relationships, while providing professional advice on construction, planning, compliance and project delivery matters. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the College’s Estate Master Plan and work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Estates Department.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in construction project delivery together with strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, presenting information to senior audiences and driving projects forward in a complex operational environment. Experience gained within estates, education, property, consultancy or client-side project management environments would be highly beneficial.

Working in a school environment offers a unique sense of purpose and community. You will be supported with training, development and opportunities to grow your skills, and you’ll work alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent service to every member of the Wellington community.
