Keystone Lintels are recruiting for a Research & Development Engineer.
You will be responsible for managing the process of research and development projects across the business. You will identify and research new technologies relevant to the current and future development projects. You will be working closely with procurement and design teams in order to provide the most cost efficient route for all projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Research and evaluation to determine workable technical solutions to problems presented by the project department, design department, R&D manager or customer. • Ensuring work is completed to achieve project schedules.
• Identifying and reporting of new technologies relevant to current and future development projects.
• Specify and undertake development and validation activities by preparing formal tests and technical reports.
• Work to detailed, technical project specifications.
• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to ensure full value chain advancement and exploitation of latest technologies.
• Perform supplier technology benchmarking.
• Prototype design of gauges and systems for a variety of industries and applications. • Produce technical reports for internal use and communication.
• Produce technical articles for commercial publication
• Performing, or assisting with, troubleshooting and performance analysis of systems at shop floor or service department level.
• Maintain good and clear communications with project, design, shop floor and service departments
