Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team and support the creation of Management Information (MI) Dashboards and data-driven insights across the organisation.

The role will focus on developing interactive dashboards, analysing complex datasets, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL and Excel, along with knowledge of data modelling, data engineering, Master Data Management (MDM), data governance and Data Science methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• MI Dashboards & Business Intelligence
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive Management Information (MI) Dashboards using Power BI.
  • Build data models, develop complex DAX queries and integrate multiple data sources to deliver accurate and actionable reporting.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that support business and operational decisions.
  • Develop BI frameworks, approaches and roadmaps to improve data accessibility and usability.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data and reporting solutions.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and support improved data literacy and adoption of BI tools.
• Data Engineering & Integration
  • Use SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure data is clean, accurate and analysis-ready.
  • Work with APIs to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure seamless data flow into reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Apply data modelling, database design and data architecture principles to support scalable data solutions.
  • Work with data warehousing concepts and technologies such as Azure Data Factory or equivalent.
• Data Quality & Governance
  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency and reliability.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation and quality checks; identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • Define and monitor data quality metrics and work with stakeholders to address data quality issues.
  • Support implementation of data governance practices, standards and controls.
  • Utilise appropriate data quality tools and frameworks to automate and improve data quality management.
• Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Master Data Management practices to ensure master data is accurate, consistent and secure.
  • Develop and maintain MDM policies, procedures, standards and governance frameworks.
  • Establish data quality metrics and conduct regular audits of master data.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MDM with business systems and ensure effective use of master data across functions.
  • Provide guidance, documentation and support to users on MDM practices and tools.
• Data Science & Advanced Analytics
  • Apply statistical analysis and relevant Data Science methodologies to derive actionable insights.
  • Use predictive modelling and machine learning techniques such as regression, classification and clustering, where relevant.
  • Develop effective data visualisations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Work with large datasets and relevant Big Data technologies to support advanced analytics.
  • Research and adopt relevant emerging data and analytics practices to improve business outcomes.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve data handling, reporting and analytics processes.
  • Automate repetitive activities and improve the efficiency, accuracy and usability of data solutions.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends, tools and technologies in data analytics, BI and data management.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a track record of developing impactful dashboards and reports in a data-driven environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• Experience working with APIs and integrating multiple data sources.
• Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, data modelling, database design and data architecture.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or equivalent data integration tools.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data cleansing, validation and governance.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) principles and practices.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, data analysis and automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or similar project environments.
• Strong collaboration skills; experience mentoring or supporting junior analysts is an advantage.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Fresh graduate or limited experience in Data Engineering with strong technical fundamentals.
• Hands-on exposure to building and maintaining basic data pipelines, ETL processes or data models.
• Experience with analytics and visualisation tools such as Excel, Tableau or Power BI.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and Big Data technologies.
