About the Role
DLL has a portfolio of industry leading fitness facilities, with 6,000 members training and attending Group Exercise across Denbighshire. DLL also supports 2,000 people a year with chronic condition prevention and management through the National Exercise Referral Scheme.
Our Fitness Instructors help our members identify and achieve their goals, with tailored training plans that inspire and motivate them. You'll deliver Personal Training sessions and Group Exercise classes, induct new members, and generally deliver an all round excellent fitness offer. With your help, every member will feel supported, comfortable and confident in exercising and using our industry leading equipment safely and effectively.
Our GP Referral Professionals play a key role in delivering the National Exercise Referral Scheme locally within Denbighshire. The scheme is designed to help people with medical conditions to achieve better health and a more active lifestyle. You’ll assess, induct and deliver tailored physical activity programmes to G P Referral Clients, designed to improve their health and activity levels. You’ll also collect and collate data to monitor and evaluate their progress, throughout the 16 week programme.
We have vacancies for Fitness Instructors and GP Referral Professionals in the Denbigh area, with permanent part time and full time contracts available for the right candidates.
About You
You will ideally be Level 3 Personal Training and/or GP Referral qualified and have at least 2 years experience in a commercial gym setting and/or delivering within a recognised exercise referral scheme. We will consider applications from those who are Level 2 Gym Instructing qualified, provided you demonstrate a passion for fitness, and commitment to developing yourself and your clients. Experience of delivering classes would be beneficial, but not essential as we're happy to train and qualify you to deliver the classes we offer.
Whether you join us as a Fitness Instructor or GP Referral Professional, you’ll need to demonstrate a flexible approach to delivering a wide variety of fitness sessions across multiple sites. We are committed to developing targeted fitness programmes for women, so an empathy and understanding of factors affecting participation by women and girls of all ages would be an advantage.
