The role…

As a Senior Analyst, you will help shape the future of North American P&C insurance by supporting the research agenda through primary and secondary research, aligning insights with industry trends and client needs, and establishing yourself as an expert in P&C insurance technology and strategy. You will provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams, contribute as an SME on consulting projects, and partner with business development and client service teams to identify growth opportunities and strengthen client satisfaction.

What you’ll be doing…

Research: Conduct leading-edge research and publish content with focus on technology trends and implications for insurers. Typical Celent research include:

  • Tracking and predicting future technology trends including local insurtech and fintech startups,
  • Describing how emerging technologies can be deployed for strategic advantage within propositions and operating models,
  • Profiling emerging and established insurance technology solutions to help our clients navigate the complex commercial technology landscape, and
  • Identifying nascent technologies and related players (European insurtech and fintech startups) with potential impacts on the insurance industry.

Your research will form a critical component of our retained advisory service, providing clients with access to your expertise, insights, and knowledge base to facilitate informed decision-making.

Strategy Consulting: You will engage directly with clients to address specific strategic challenges where technology plays a crucial role. Typical consulting projects may include:

  • Advising clients on technology-driven strategic challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Identifying and mitigate project risks to support effective execution.
  • Leading technology strategy workshops and align technology with business objectives.
  • Defining target IT architecture and support vendor selection.
  • Developing vendor positioning, partnership, and market expansion strategies.
  • Producing thought leadership on financial services technology trends.
  • Representing the business at industry conferences and webinars.

Your consulting clientele will include leading FS firms, consultancies, venture capitalists, and technology vendors serving the insurance sector.

Profile & Brand Promotion: Build your profile and strengthen the company’s presence in FS technology by:

  • Engaging with relevant financial services and technology media.
  • Speaking at industry forums, Fintech, and Insurtech events.
  • Sharing expert insights with the wider FS and technology community.
  • Developing a strong industry network and positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.

Your contributions may be featured in leading business and technology publications, supporting the company’s reputation as a thought leader.

What we’re looking for…

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in P&C insurance technology.
  • Experience within an insurer, consulting or research firm, or technology vendor, focused on technology strategy or delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance and the ability to translate complex technology topics into practical recommendations.
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, including managing research agendas.
  • Excellent written, presentation, storytelling, and public-speaking skills.
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders, contributing to consulting projects, and building trusted client relationships.

  • Knowledge of underwriting, pricing, reinsurance, MGAs, captives, or insurance-linked securities is a plus.
