Hours: 14.5 per week (2 days)

Hourly Rate: £12.90 per hour

About Jubilee Court:

Jubilee Court is a 30 bedded care home for Adult Service Users with Physical Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injury and Degenerative Neurological Disorders, requiring a continuum of care, through a structured programme of rehabilitation.

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team at Jubilee Court. The role will involve carrying out general repairs, routine maintenance, basic decorating and ensuring the home is safe, well-maintained and comfortable for our residents. We’re looking for someone practical, dependable and approachable, with good attention to detail and a willingness to help wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decorating bedrooms, shared areas an corridors.
• General maintenance duties
• Basic plumbing work
• Health and Safety checks throughout the home
• Maintaining gardens and general upkeep of the building
• Liaise with outside companies and head office regarding health and safety/maintenance issues
• Daily update via maintenance log to Home Manager on jobs done

The ideal candidate:

Prior experience working in a similar role in a care or nursing home would be ideal

Relevant Health and Safety qualifications would be desirable

Good Health and Safety awareness

Basic plumbing skills required

Must be able to drive

Must be willing to work outside of working hours to suit the needs of the home and in emergency situation.
