Liberation Wholesale are looking for an aspiring HGV Driver to join our busy Distribution Centre team!

Are you interested in driving and looking to build a long-term career in logistics?

We're looking for a Seasonal Van Driver to join our team from October through to January, supporting our busiest trading period. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable delivery and distribution experience while working alongside our experienced drivers and warehouse team.

For the right candidate, this position could be the first step towards a career as an HGV Driver, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent role and receive support towards gaining HGV qualifications.

As one of Guernsey's leading wholesalers of Wines, Spirits, Beers & Minerals, we supply a wide range of customers across the island including Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, Shops and more.

This is a hands-on, varied role combining customer deliveries, stock handling and warehouse support, giving you a great introduction to the world of professional driving and distribution.

What will you be doing?

• Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers across Guernsey using a company van
• Providing excellent customer service and acting as an ambassador for Liberation Wholesale
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and accurately
• Supporting warehouse operations, including picking orders and preparing deliveries
• Handling and moving stock including Wines, Beers, Spirits, Soft Drinks and Kegs/Barrels
• Carrying out vehicle checks and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Working closely with the wider Distribution Centre team to ensure deliveries are completed on time
• Learning from experienced drivers and gaining an understanding of HGV operations and distribution processes

What do you need?

• A full, valid driving licence
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• An interest in developing a career in driving and logistics
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Good physical fitness and the ability to handle stock and deliveries throughout the day
• Previous delivery, warehouse or logistics experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
• Candidates must live in Guernsey and have the right to work in Guernsey
