Are you passionate about helping students develop the skills, confidence and independence needed to succeed? Bishop Burton College is seeking a proactive and supportive Learning and Skills Advisor to join our Learning Resource Centre team.

Based within our Learning Resource Centre, you will play a key role in supporting students across a range of curriculum areas. Working one-to-one and with small groups, you will help learners develop essential study skills, including time management, revision techniques, organisation and exam preparation, enabling them to achieve their full potential. 

This varied role combines student support, resource guidance and front-line customer service. You will assist students in accessing physical and digital learning resources, provide support with academic tasks, contribute to workshops and inductions, and help create a positive and productive learning environment across our campuses. You will also work closely with curriculum and support teams to identify and support learners who may benefit from additional academic skills development. 

We are looking for an organised, approachable and enthusiastic individual with experience of supporting young people. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build positive relationships with learners, and a genuine commitment to student success are essential. Experience within an educational environment and knowledge of study skills development, learning technologies or library services would be advantageous.
