HR Business Partner (Field-Based)
South East, Midlands & York

Salary: £45,000 per year + £4,000 annual car allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Hybrid - Working from home and visiting our nurseries

We’re looking for an HR Business Partner who cares about people and understands what helps teams succeed. Someone who can see the bigger picture, offer practical advice and roll up their sleeves when support is needed.

Working across our South East, Midlands and York locations, you’ll build strong relationships with our nursery and operational leaders, helping make our nurseries great places to work, learn and grow.

About the role

You’ll spend three days a week out in our nurseries, getting to know our teams and understanding their everyday challenges and successes.

Working closely with Regional Operations and Area Managers, you’ll help drive engagement, performance and retention while supporting our wider People team to bring our People Strategy to life.

From navigating a tricky people matter to helping a manager grow in confidence, your work will make a difference to the people who make our nurseries special.

What you’ll be doing:

• Acting as a strategic sounding board to leaders, helping them get the very best out of their teams.
• Leading on complex ER cases with empathy, professionalism, and legal know-how.
• Supporting capability plans, onboarding, and leadership development.
• Being a visible cultural ambassador by driving inclusion, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives.
• Bringing fresh ideas from the wider HR world to keep our People Strategy future-fit.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience.
• The ability to influence, coach, and inspire leaders at all levels.
• A commercial mindset, with a clear eye for both culture and business outcomes.
• A full UK driving licence and the willingness to travel.
