• Location: Argyll Forest
• Salary: £12.71 per hour
• Working Hours: Full-time, 40 hours.
• Days of Work: 5 days out of 7, with weekend availabilty required 9am -6pm.
• Transport: Please note that our location is not accessible by public transport. Therefore, a valid driving licence and access to a car, or another reliable means of transport, are essential for this role. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our lovely team at Argyll.

At the edge of the Argyll Forest Park, pine-covered mountains sweep down to meet the shore of Loch Long where 40 cabins sit. A more perfect spot for a forest escape is hard to imagine.

 

About the Facilities Assistant role:

As Facilities Assistant, you will ensure our cabins are in good working order with well-maintained décor. You will complete general maintenance tasks, so a basic knowledge of using tools, fixing machinery, and decorating is desirable. You will respond to issues promptly and the ability to solve these issues whilst maintaining excellent communication with the guest is essential.  

Our Facilities Assistant will ensure every cabin is regularly audited to keep standards high.  Working in the Operations Team you will also assist across the location as and when required, for example delivering items ordered from the Retreat to cabins or emptying bins on a changeover day. 

You’ll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and are happy to work with our brand standards, ensuring every guest experience that Forest Feeling the moment they step into their cabin. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

• ➡️ Carry out general maintenance and repair work to keep cabins in good working order and well-presented.
• ➡️ Complete basic decorating and upkeep tasks to maintain high standards of cabin appearance.
• ➡️ Respond quickly to maintenance issues and resolve them where possible, using basic tools and repair skills.
• ➡️ Paying attention to the little details and delivering daily tasks in a timely and competent manner.
• ➡️ Taking pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
• ➡️ Following brand standards to ensure every guest experiences the Forest Feeling from the moment they step into their cabin

 

What Are We Looking For?

Our ideal Facilities Assistant will be a dynamic individual who applies a can-do attitude to solve any issues that may arise on location. You will be a team player, capable of building good working relationships with colleagues. A love for the outdoors is essential as these tasks need completing rain or shine every day of the year.

We’re looking for someone with:

• ✅The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• ✅Great attention to detail, ensuring high cleanliness standards are met.
• ✅Some previous experience in a similar role.

Pay Rates for Aged 16 and 17:

16 years: £8.00 per hour
17 years: £10.85 per hour
