We are seeking to recruit experienced and reliable NRSWA Unit O1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding Operatives (formerly Unit 2) to assist in the safe delivery of traffic management arrangements, within the events industry.

This is a hands on, customer facing role, involving the installation, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management equipment around event venues, car parks, public highways and surrounding access routes.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Install, maintain and remove temporary signs, cones, barriers and other traffic management equipment.

• Proper positioning and maintenance of signing, lighting and guarding arrangements.

• Pre-use and ongoing checks of traffic management equipment.

• Assisting with road closures, pedestrian routes, vehicle access arrangements and parking restrictions; • Supporting the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians within event venues.

• Site plans, risk assessments, method statements and supervisor’s instructions.

• Detection and recording of equipment which is damaged, missing or incorrectly placed.

• Professional and safe response to changing operational needs.

• Collaborating with event teams, traffic management supervisors, local authorities and other stakeholders. • Professional appearance and a high level of customer service.

• To work in accordance with the CSP policies, health and safety requirements and event specific procedures.

Criteria Applicants should:

• Hold a valid NRSWA Unit O1 Signing, Lighting and Guarding qualification (formerly Unit 2).

• You must have a current Street Works card or be able to provide valid evidence of the qualification.

• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Understand and follow traffic management plans, instructions and safety procedures.

• Physically able to safely handle signs, cones, barriers and associated equipment.

• Be prepared to work in all weather conditions outdoors.

• Have the ability to work flexible shift patterns including early morning, late evening, weekends and bank holidays.

• punctual, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.

• Communicate professionally with colleagues, clients and the public.

• Ability to travel to various event locations as needed.
