Across our Ipswich sites, we provide a range of supported and affordable housing options for young people, tailored to meet individual needs. Each setting offers essential support in a safe, nurturing environment, with access to on-site and local facilities to help young people build independence and thrive.

About the role

As an Accommodation Night Worker, you’ll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly overnight. You’ll make sure the building is clean, safe, and secure, and help welcome residents and staff during the night. You’ll also work to keep the environment calm and quiet, support your colleagues with any overnight tasks, and be ready to respond to any incidents or offer help to residents with more complex needs. Your presence will help everyone feel safe and supported through the night.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with young people who have complex needs — this doesn’t have to be in a housing setting.
• A natural ability to connect and communicate with people from all walks of life.
• Strong organisational skills and a warm, approachable manner.
• Great communication skills and a team-focused attitude, especially when working during unsociable hours.
• A good understanding of mental health issues and confidence in managing challenging behaviour when needed.

In accordance with safer recruitment processes many of the roles we recruit for require successful candidates to undertake an appropriate criminal record background check. If an offer of work is accepted, YMCA Trinity Group will facilitate these checks on behalf of our staff and volunteers via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Days and hours – This is on a 4 on/4 off rota. Shifts are 10pm to 8am.

What we offer

Annual salary £ 26438.88 per annum.
