Few hospitality roles offer the chance to create something from the very beginning. Be the Event Head Chef at London Museum, one of London's most significant cultural openings. The doors open on 28 November in the heart of historic Smithfield, bringing together thousands of years of London's history through world class events, experiences and hospitality.
We are looking for an Event Head Chef who loves bringing food to life. Someone who is passionate about seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, takes pride in creating balanced dishes bursting with flavour, and believes great food starts with quality and care. You'll enjoy working in a kitchen that celebrates sustainability, encourages creativity, and delivers memorable dining experiences that keep guests coming back.
This is far more than a kitchen management role. It's an opportunity to shape the events culinary offer from day one, creating a destination that becomes part of London's daily life. A place where seasonal food, warm hospitality and good company bring museum visitors, neighbours and friends together from morning through to evening.
Celebrating the history of the market, the menus will showcase the very best of British produce, including beef and lamb from Green & Fortune's own farm, alongside pies created by Michelin-starred chef Robin Gill. The food will be paired with an exciting drinks programme by Mr Lyan Studio, bringing together some of London's leading creative talent. From comforting classics such as mutton stew with barley, root vegetables and fresh herbs to a modern take on the Billingsgate sandwich with hand-dived scallops, crispy smoked bacon and scallop roe butter, every dish will celebrate London's rich food culture, seasonal ingredients and thoughtful cooking.
We're looking for an Event Head Chef who builds strong relationships, leads by example and enjoys developing a team that delivers exceptional hospitality. You'll be passionate about seasonal produce, curious about London's food scene, and confident writing and costing menus that balance creativity with commercial performance. Working alongside an exciting group of collaborators, you'll help create an events food offer that reflects the ambition of one of London's most significant new cultural destinations.
At Green and Fortune, we take pride of the connections we make through the moments and memories we create.
