Community Safety & Anti-Social Behaviour Enforcement Officer

We are looking for a Community Safety & Anti-Social Behaviour Enforcement Officer to play a key role in tackling anti-social behaviour and environmental crime across the borough. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference—working at the heart of the community alongside residents, businesses, and key partners such as the Metropolitan Police to drive positive, lasting change.

You will take the lead on investigating and resolving complex ASB cases, using a range of enforcement tools and community-based interventions. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help drive forward strategies that reduce ASB and create safer communities.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a complex caseload of ASB cases, including high-risk and persistent issues
• Lead on enforcement action under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 (e.g. CPNs, Civil Injunctions, Closure Orders, PSPOs)
• Prepare legal documentation and represent the Council in court where required
• Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and take witness and community impact statements
• Use surveillance tools (e.g. noise monitoring equipment, body-worn cameras) to support investigations
• Develop and implement borough-wide ASB strategies, including Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs)
• Analyse data to identify ASB hotspots and deliver targeted interventions
• Work collaboratively with police, housing providers, legal teams, and other partners
• Represent the Council at community meetings, panels, and forums
• Provide support and guidance to victims and witnesses, ensuring safeguarding measures are in place

About You

• Strong experience managing ASB casework and enforcement action
• Good knowledge of ASB legislation, particularly the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014
• Confident in preparing legal cases and attending court
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours rota
• Comfortable with lone working, including visits to high-risk environments
• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals
